Poll: Time to shave / beard type!

Straight razor shavers only for this poll, please!

I know we've covered 'how long do you take to shave' more than once, but here's a twist on it.

As you can guess, I'm wondering if there's a correlation.

FWIIW - I think that skill and razor sharpness have more to do with how long it takes to shave.

I'm also like...super combination man.

My sideburns are fine, cheeks are a fine medium but grow in like 40 different directions. My lip is coarse as hell.

I video taped myself to analyze the technique and I clock in at about 10-12 minutes with medium polishing. Does not include stropping.

Heavy beard here. Normally, I take my sweet time and end up a little under 20 minutes, but a modestly paced shave is around 15.

I ought to chime in, since I started this.

Heavy beard. I can get a decent shave in 20 minutes or so. If I'm being obsessive and following the philosphy of No Whisker Left Behind, I'll spend another 10 to 15 minutes getting bbs or close to it.

Yeah. The poll seems to assume that everybody is trying to finish as quickly as possible (if you want to be able to correlate beard thickness to time taken). In a pinch I can do a 10 min, two pass shave... the results are mixed. Sometimes it can be DFS, but mostly it's SAS (or what ever is between those two points).

Generally, I like to take about 20 mins bang-to-buck. I wake up a little earlier to do this.
