Hard for me to get excited about synthetic knots, but I guess my favorite is the Maggards Black and white one. All the others I’ve tried feel cheap, plastic and springy
A toss-up between a Stirling Kong and a PAA Atomic Rocket. My face is not particularly sensitive, so I really cannot tell the difference. They just work.
This is a Maggards 26mm Black and White that I set in a Orange Agate wood handle I turned. I have been using it pretty consistently now for about two months and really enjoy it. I bowl lathers like a dream and it will face lather pretty good too. I would not hesitate to buy another one of these knots.
Timberwolf. I have a lot of synths and that one is the combo of soft tips and moderate backbone for me. I have a couple of 26 mm Timberwolf brushes. The Tuxedo is great too. And for super soft, the PAA Atomic Rocket is really great too. I think the next brush I have made will be with the Hawk knot.
The Stirling Pro handle. So soft and great for face lathering. I have no desire to purchase another brush after getting this one. The rest are ignored.
I'm not a big fan of synthetic brushes but I did buy a Shavemac 173 shape 26mm Synthetic knot and love it, hence me getting a Rubberset 400 and put a Synthetic into that. Also bought an Omega 10098 boar and removed it and put a synthetic blood knot into it
