I will go with Simpson's Best grade of badger hair. It has very good backbone and scrubby tips, and is a great value for the money.

Seriously, this is hard because Simpsons Best is like Rooney's Super Silvertip is somewhat comparable to TGN Silvertip which is all different from Savile Row Silvertip, which... you get the idea.

I bought a badger brush from Germany (35 euro) but honestly I'm not satisfied. Maybe it depends on I get me used to pork brush or the badger brush is poor in quality but anyway I take refuge often on my pork brushes.

Never tried a doghair brush. Hope they don't smell like my chocolate lab Brownie. That was the stinkiest dog in the world.
