Polishing with Diamond Paste

Hello All

I have a few razors that I’m going to be polishing up specifically the scratches on the spine associated with honing. My question is what grit diamond paste should I start with and do you think that it will require follow up paste to get it back to a bright shine?

Your diamond paste starting grit would depend on the steel hardness, scratch depth and how much time you have.

For finishing 0.5um should give you a mirror finish.
