POLISH PLEASURE via RUSSIA

tried my first shave with polands eveline cosmetics "CITRUS MANLINE KPEM" ..kpem is russian for "cream"..this cream is imported and labeled for russian shavers...the citrus scent is mild and very pleasant...nice sunshine fresh clean mixed citrus blend, with a touch of that "barbershop" aroma tossed in,nice blend..I whipped it up in a very porous pottery bowl,it popped right up...looked a little thin to the eye,but it is very good at lubricating the beard...nice smooth glide, and it really aided the very very sharp sputnik blade in my british 2 ring rocket..you could hear each and every whisker "ping" when that sputnik hit it ! I just finished 5 shaves with an astra platinum, and the sputnik was equally sharp, but smoother !...the last photo shows there is enough of the original almond dollop embedded into the vie-long horse hair to do a second shave !..my only other experience with polish cream was with lider lime.a powerful lime cream, sadly no longer made..this eveline cosmetics manline citrus cream is a winner !...lovely shave all the way around...

luc...I always start out with the traditional almond size "dollop" of cream, that way I can more accurately measure which creams do what..in the photos and the review I mention the lather looks a little "thin" ,and it does, but I was really surprised that the formula of the cream satisfactorily compensated for this..I had a very enjoyable shave...no drag or thin spots..even though looking at the lather you might think so...

Sorry to veer straight off topic, but I have to ask... what is that brush?! It's gorgeous!

Oh, wait, it's a Vie-Long? I've never seen that one.

Thanks for that interesting post. I have been wondering lately about how people shave in Russia and China to say nothing of all of South America.

I love the name of the blades.

Interesting post. Where did you get this cream? You seem to have a knack for finding these hard to find gems.

Ciao.
