Pls recommend me a good electric shaver/trimmer...

I'm looking to buy something that can trim body hair (arm pits, chest) and also shave my face/mouth/neck areas.

What can I buy from the local Walmart, Shoppers, etc.?

Would something like http://www.shavercentre.com/canada/philips_body_groomer_tt2021.html work (it's wayyy expensive though)?

I haven't found luck using cheapo $2 razors or 5-blade Fusions...might as well try something new!

And for body hair it's easier if I trim first so might as well get an all in one?!

Use caution whatever you do. I decided it would be a good idea to just trim the forest below my collar. BIG mistake. I have a Remington Titanium model MB 35 which comes with a guard and is adjustable. I use it to clean up what the barber leaves behind on my neck. I decided I'd slightly trim my chest hair. the next few weeks I spent itching my chest. Even worse, I had an 8 hour race to run that week. Try running 47 miles with that kind of irritation! Lesson learned.

I have a Remington "Code" groomer. Comes with three different guards, and is ment for use on the body.

Why would you want to use an electric shaver for your face? Ack.

Do so browsing around here and check out what other options you have to Cartridge razors.

Try Nare or rubbing alcohol and a lighter . Alcohol burns cool and removes the hair in a snap .

I have a Wahl electric groomer from Wal-Mart and use a de razor for the face. Treat your face nice; it's what the girls look at and is a very sensitive area. Electric shavers never treat your face near as well as proper wet shaving from my experience.

I think u'll need to buy two separate electrics. One for your face and one for your body. U can buy a 2 in 1 but it will be like trimming your face with hair clippers (think of the pulling and cutting ).

Post the issues you have with wetshaving in the shave clinic and the guys will clear them up for you. No professional barber ever used an electric to give a client a good shave.

No reason that something new can't be a glorious Double Edge Safety Razor!!

Yeah, I was trying to avoid that ... we've had more than enough threads devolve into shaving other, uh, less commonly seen areas in the past.
