Am about to pull the trigger on an order. Musgo Real splash, Trumpers skinfood coral and lime, Trumpers GFT shaving cream and Truefitt and Hill comfort shaving cream. Can anyone talk me out of it ??:001_unsur

Happy Shaving

Shaving supplies (blades, soaps/creams, and after shaves) are "expendables".

You can't have too many of these as you will go through them and need to replace them.

Now razors are not expendable and you don't "need" a stockpile as they don't typically wear out or get used up.

SO......

Buy what ever you want for blades, soaps/creams, and after shaves and enjoy yourself.

You appear to lack balance in your setup. I have only one solution.....You need more razors. Vintage Gillette open combs and some single edge razors should help.
Sorry, but it's true!

I'll step up to the plate.

You can live without the Trumpers skinfood. It's nice, but it's a glorified Cornhusker's lotion. The GFT cream is very nice, particularly the coconut oil, but there are many equally fine creams to try, many of them costing far less. The same can be said for T&H, but it's hard to talk anyone out of trying their West Indian Limes.

But not buying the Musgo Real splash? You must be mad! :biggrin1:

you are missing a fat handled tech!
everyone has to have at least one tech and IMO the fat handled is the best looker, you have to give it time to get it right and when you do its sublime..
you must must must must get one!

Nice setup. I think you'll be fine. The Astra's are fine blades. I like them and I think you'll also like the Super Iridiums, Gillette Blacks, Gillette Silver Blues, Feathers - and I also think the Blue Labs are worth trying. Is that the help you were looking for to stop the current order?

Buy more stuff!!!! Or not. I don't think you'll get much support here for not buying thing. :biggrin1:

Yeah, this is definitely the wrong place if you're looking for someone to discourage your acquisition of shaving supplies. We're all enablers here.

All I have is 1 Astra SP blade. Been using the blade for 3 years, stroping it on a napkin a couple of times a week. When it starts pulling too badly, I hone it on the sidewalk. No razor yet, I just hold the blade with vice grips. I haven't tried a soap yet. I just use a little water.

Chuck Norris, is that you?
