Looks like a very nice ball end Gillette Tech razor, the X4 date code puts it as being produced in the 4th quarter of 1952. These are mild shavers, but are excellent if paired with a nice sharp blade.

Between 1950 and 1956, over 25,000 Canadians served in Korea, and 516 died of various causes. In spring 1951 about 8500 Canadians troops, 2500 Brits, 5 000 Filipino troops and 5 000 Turkish troops were supporting the United Nations againstKorea. Theres a good chance your razor could be authentic and bought or sold to a Canadian soldier. They were also sold to the public.
