What's new

Please forgive me gentlemen, for I have sinned.

Went through a perfectly good Sunday without shaving :thumbdown Instead of my normal Saturday morning shave, I shaved last evening before heading out to a bbq.......... turned into a late night and I rushed out the door this morning (still with a pretty smooth chin) to attend to my chores. Not much point shaving now and then again first thing Monday morning.
Aaahh........... at least I now have that off my chest :wink2:

We can forgive everything except that idea!

Off your chest huh? You should be stoned, you lazy, stubly SOB.

Seriously, I go about 3 days without shaving all the time. Longer whiskers = closer, more comfortable shave for me.

I rest my face for a day every week or two (today was the day). I like to allow the whiskers to regain confidence and attempt to reoccupy my face, then, the next morning, they are stopped in their tracks by the might slant (or DE, or straight).

Same here actually. Had a crappy shave with the Gillette Proglide yesterday morning:angry:, went to fix it last night with the DE and went really close because i had an early morning this morning. Just now getting some decent stubble. At least I'll have good stubble for in the morning!

I'm a fan of letting it go on the weekends unless I'm going somewhere important. My weekends are to be spent sleeping in, relaxing about the house and cooking my favorite meals, or maybe going camping and relaxing in a hammock! I enjoy shaving but I also enjoy being lazy sometimes, too.

The weekday shaves are great, but they are also mandatory.

When I shave on the weekends, it's all about me.

Plus, I remember my mother asking my father, "If that damn office is important enough to shave for, how come I'm not?"

My wife doesn't say that.

I would shave again anyways! 2 passes instead...

I have been known to go that extra day, shave at night or shave in the morning.

It is more important for me to take my time and enjoy my shave, than to rush.

Doesn't more stubble mean a more enjoyable shave?
:001_huh:

Eh, I skip a few days here and there now that schools out for now (got some classes later this summer). Well, by a few, I mean 2, maybe.

Meh...go forth and sin no more!

All kidding aside, taking a day off every now and then to let your face heal is no sin. Do what's best for your skin.

I just noticed a video ad on FB hyping the ProGlide. It shows a NY accented 20-something with a swarthy 2 day growth. He dry-slathers on some of that hideous canned soylent green Gillette canned gel, takes two ATG strokes down by his ear and.... jump cut to him deadpannng (now shaved), "yeah it feels smooth like a barber shop shave.".

Son, honestly, have you ever had a barber shop shave. And why doesn't the video show you actually shaving?

Anyway I posted on my FB with some commentary and a link to B&B.

Usually i skip sat and sunday, but i'm guilty of having shaved after my shower tonight. I got an early monday morning and won't have time. Although maybe if i get 5hrs of sleep and wake 30min earlier i can shave again :001_rolle

No big deal.

Friday night, I took a red eye out on vacation :)smile:) and didn't get a chance to shave until Sunday morning. Yes, it was noticeably stubby, but the shave felt so good. Even though I'm on vacation, I'll turn in regular shaves the rest of the days. I travel with the Irisch Moos stick - always something to look forward to!

Quick-get some logs and build a raging fire, and let's burn him at the stake. All kidding aside, sometimes, I take the weekend off from shaving, and shaving after 2 days of growth is really a treat, so some time off is no big deal. I guess you better get some more logs for me!
