Can platers take off Rhodium without damaging the razor? Or is it an expensive and tedious process?

I believe that cooncatbob does this all the time. I have a red tip superspeed that I am thinking about getting replated and repainted, But it usualy costs more than the razor itself. I havent asked about it yet, as I am no where near ready to have it done.

I doubt if Bob has stripped many Rhodium plated razors, especially since the only ones I know of are TTO.

I don't plate razor myself, I sub it out and I've never even had a Rhodium razor in my hands.
The plating on the NEWs I reuse is so thin I remove it with a Dremel wire wheel

I dont completly understand the differences between the different platings, or what Is required to redo them, but I do know that I have seen many great replatings come from cooncatbob.

Whops sory, I was under the impression you did it yourself... Well whomever you use seems to do a good job.

Rhodium cant be chemically stripped,and it cant be plated over.It has to be removed by sanding or it has to be filed off.
