Plating removal

I have an old Superspeed that has lost a great deal of its plating -- in fact, there's more brass showing than plating. I actually think I might like the looks of an all-brass TTO razor, so I'd like to remove all the plating, but I have no idea how to do it other than sanding, which really isn't practical. So, I was wondering if there was a way I could remove the plating? Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

I would like to answer your question. If you had any re-plating experience, you would do plating removal process by yourself. But I see you have not the experience so you have to find a pro to do that process or you will do an imperfect plating removal.

Answer your question you should look local places which have plating service at your phone book or in the internet. They have sanding machines for plating removal.

I recall some of the guys who do re-plating mentioning some type of chemical process to strip the original plate. PM Cooncatbob for his advice.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the tips. I'm looking into the Caswell B-29 stripper -- it appears as if it will do the trick. Thanks again.
