i buy at the end of season sales at kohls and target. i generally don't pay more than $10 each - usually closer to $5. occasionally you'll see a sale or two in the middle of the season.

No Offense meant, but I read "Plaid Shirts" and instantly thought of that commercial where they guys says

actually keep an eye out at a kmart. i wear alot of plaid shirts and pick most up there. especially in summer i got most for 1-3$ there cheap especially for outdoor work. they might not be no high end fashion plaid. but if your a working man there great
Every designer was flogging the plaid shirt last year, you should be able to find lots in overstock type stores.
I have a hard time finding plaid shirts that I like. While I may find some in a store this year, the next year I don't like what they have. Styles change that much from year to year.
