Pitting on honing stone?

I recently bough a few rolls razors to restore. One of them looked fine on initial inspection, but as I put honing oil on the stone I noticed pitting where the razor sat for years. Is this going to significantly affect performance? Do I need to buy another stone entirely?

It may impact honing, may not.

Most people don't use the original hone with rolls razors from what I remember. It's <8k grit. Most people who use Rolls finish the blade on something else.

You probably shouldn't oil a rolls hone at all. If you get any of it in the friction clip it is really going to be a bad time
