My third post COVID smoke. Hal O’ the Wynd in an Arley Curtz bent Brandy w/partial bamboo shank. The good news is that some taste and smell is returning! Not a lot mind you, but certainly some. I believe that bodes well for the future! Edit to add that I have a wee dram of Laphroiag 10 on the side and I can definitely taste that! Good news!

Taking a break from winterizing the pond and yard with a bowl of Sutliff Ready Rubbed Match. Second time trying it with the first being a couple of days ago when it arrived. Good stuff, I think I’ll stock up.

With this post COVID taste/smell thing, I feel like I’m back at square one with discerning how a blend tastes. The difference is, I know how these blends should taste.

Well given the night . . . Halloween . . . I had some of the Haunting in my Angels Share pipe. This pipe had / has problems . . . I burnt out a flaw in the wood . . . thought I'd killed the pipe. No still a great pipe. (bought a backup but not used yet).

Finished my evening with WC Deluxe Crumb Cut in a Avanti Rock Briar Pot. My first two pipe smoke post Covid. It feels good getting back toward normal, which is usually 3 pipes if the weather is decent, and it was today.
