Interesting. Eau de Portugal is an "orange" scent. I get sweet and bitter orange from my Pinuad hair tonic which is what it is supposed to be. Wait till you get a snoot full of Penhaligon's Douro(Lords) edt.

I'll side with jkenton on the gin-and-tonic scent in Eau de Portugal. I've also recently tried Eau de Quinine, and I get the weird and possibly unfounded feeling that the formulas got mixed up.
I'd expect Eau de Quinine to smell like tonic water, but to me it smells like sweet port wine, which scent I would associate with a name like Eau de Portugal. Simple simon, I guess. I like them both, in the hair and on the face.
