Pilot 78g converter

i have a 78G that i aquired that i was using cartridges in, i recently switched to the converter. ive used it this way for about a week, and the converter has come loose at least 3 times. i carry it in my pocket nib up, nothing strenuous just walking. is there something i can do to stop this from happening again?

In my experience, the Pilot converters, even the scaled down version of the CON-20 that is included with the FP-78G, fit tightly and securely. If you're certain that it's pushed fully into place (and I imagine you've already thought of that), it's possible that you simply have a bad converter that's a little too loose for some reason. If the cartridges show no tendency to come out, then I wouldn't think it's the pen. It's a friction fit. Conceivably there might be some way to build it up a little inside to keep it in place, but if I thought it was the converter I'd probably just get a new one.

+1 I had one of the CON-20 converters that wouldn't fit in my 78g. You may need to buy a few more. Good luck.

Actually after playing around with my 912 I found out the con-20 does indeed fit, but I have to press really hard for it to snap in place,... my guess is that is your issue as well as it seems to be VERY common for this converter. you have to press then feel it kind of click in place for it to be secured... give it a shot and let us know (It shouldnt be so hard you would risk breaking anything, but be very firm indeed)
