Oh my. I've only tried about 10 soaps... Just had a phenomenal shave this morning with Cella, so I'll go with that, though simple Arko would be a good choice, also.
Mike's Barbershop
MWF and Haslinger are my two favorite. If I had to pick one it would be MWF. Very close though.
Williams mug shaving soap gets my vote.

I had a great Cella shave today as well. I noticed the Cella needs the perfect amount of water or it becomes a problem, more so than other soaps.
I have a cupboard filled with wonderful artisanal soaps BUT
if I had could only pick one, I would have to go with
Santa Maria Novella Crema da Barba

+1 love this stuff. I found it in a dusty corner of Pasteurs pharmacy and had to have it after I smelled it. In my eyes, I saved it
i would probably say hmmm.... Reef Point Soaps "Fougere Santal" Just an unbelieveable scent, the puck lasts for ages and the lather is up there with the best.
