went up to the wetland this morning, to see if anything is going on and give the z some playing time.
not much was happening; these guys gave me a couple shots then scooted.
z6ii + 500/5.6, iso 1000, 1/800 sec, cropped down to about a third of the frame.

i was watching the rosies on the snag when the egret made its move.
shooting at about 8 frames a second.

however on the way to the parking lot, the local barred owl made an appearance.

cell phone shot, of the nature center, is iPhone 12 pro.
owl photo is Nikon z6ii, 500mm/5.6 lens, cropped to about half of frame, 1/320 sec, iso 10,000, handheld.
plus a dunkin donuts iced coffee, medium size.
