Southern California. It's currently 62° F where I am. We've been getting a bit of rain lately so things are blooming.

From my walk around a reservoir yesterday.
this sunday morning, nothing great, a stiff breeze from the northeast keeping cool.
tried to calm down the water with nd filter, but 4 sec. shutter time was still too short.

same scene, calm air, altho i didn't set autofocus spot correctly and most in the sequence were o-o-f due to flare.
another lesson learned.

this friday morning, back to the wetlands.
sort of quiet now but this egret obliged and stayed in focus for a couple shots while landing in the reeds.

thanks, not timing, mostly luck.
i was watching the egret hunting across the pond when it took off.
took a burst of shots, but lost focus halfway.
then finally regained focus just as it approached the reeds.
the out-of-focus reeds in front and back added a nice touch.
here's the full sequence.
We went to the Gardens by the Bay yesterday afternoon and tried out the Skywalk: suspended between two of the "Supertrees" we had a great view of the Gardens and surrounds. A bit warm though, 32c!
