I took this shot a few years back, my local railway, the line runs from Pant, 3 miles North of Merthyr Tydfil, to Torpantau following part of the route of the original Brecon & Merthyr Railway which closed in 1964.

I'm looking forward to spending a couple days in north wales later this month!!
Except, only, that the rail unions plan a strike during my stay! How inconsiderate of them!

Wales is a great place to photograph Red Kites.

The old fire lookout tower at Lava Butte in Bend, Oregon. The second photo of a storm rolling over the Cascade Mountains was taken from the top deck of the lookout looking west.
