Great shots. The Toronto zoo also has a specialized Orangutan habitat. They decided to just specialize in orangutans and gorillas.

This I just a photo to commemorate my last swim in Lake Ontario for the season. When my legs went numb I knew that was it. I’ll miss my daily 1-2km swim regiment. I can’t believe the water temp was so warm right into September.

Cardinal Shrimp are a smaller tropical species of dwarf shrimp that originate from the lakes of the Sulawesi region of Indonesia.
These were a newly discovered specie, and made their way into the aquarium trade in around 2009.

This is an adult that is about an inch long that was part of a colony that I was able to establish in my 20 gallon aquarium, they did have babies so I must have done something right, but I did something and killed them off.... a very expensive mistake.
These never were plentiful in the aquarium trade.
