Sunset from my 18th floor balcony last night. I love a good sunset. Taken with my iPhone.
Thank you. St. Louis, MO. It was hazy, hot and humid last night, so that helps with the color.

Yes, I find it difficult to suppress a sly grin when saying "Titisee," where I did, in fact, make the first photo. The other two are from "Schluchsee" ("Schluch" means "swallow").

here is one pano still and the timelapse video clip below.
but big mistake, after focusing on the east for most of the time, i turned and saw really dramatic clouds off to the west! unfortunately obscured by trees at my location and too late to walk to a clearer spot!

The time lapse shots.
ah, the time lapse clips were done with the leica q2.
on tripod, in interval mode, shutter priority, auto iso.
with your good suggestion, interval shortened to 7 sec.
shutter speed shortened from time to time, starting at 1/4 and going down to 1/250.
processed in LR and rendered in PS.
but, are they getting up to standard??
No question. I don’t think I’ve seen any better.

i still need to smooth out the exposure steps; there are some techniques around that I'll have to research.
the shots for the pano comp this morning were taken with the iphone while the leica was working on the time lapse.
again, those were edited and comp'ed in LR.
