Howdy all,
Just got my tin from PPF with Sandalwood soap. I ordered the tin they have that comes with soap, Sodial razor, 5 Shark blades and a synthetic brush.
First the tin:

It came in a sturdy cardboard box and was decently protected. The tin itself does and excellent job of showcasing the items within. Also inside was a business card with a hand written Thank You note on the back side. Gotta love such simple things like that.
The brush:
Synthetic bristles that act a whole lot like boars hair. Has split ends like boars and even does the same clumping together when wet. I read other reviews on synthetic brushes and how they don't hold water and such but this one holds water rather well. The handle is just gawd awful bulky cheap plastic. But then again I wasn't expecting much.
Sodial razor:
This cheapy razor holds the blade better than my Merkur's do. There is no play in the blade seating area, it is locked down and spacing is even on both sides. Merkur could learn a thing or two.
Haven't done a true shave with it yet, so I'll leave that for later judgement. Five Shark blades were included, a brand I've not used before, (I'm a die hard Feather user but will give these a try).
The Soap:

Decently sized puck of pure Vegan shave soap. PPF's claim to fame so to speak is their use of Kokum butter. The sandalwood smell is rather strong and filled my bathroom when I left the door shut for a bit.
How it lathers:
I used the included synthetic brush just for kicks and it lathered, well, amazingly. No presoak on the soap, just put it in the bowl with a bit of hot water and whip up a lather. The lather was thick and creamy, and very very slick. The sandalwood scent is strong and does not wash away easily. Several hours after making the lather I still have the scent on my hands. And interestingly enough, my hands feel smoother. I'm a carpenter by trade and have calloused rough hands, not used to them feeling smooth.
I haven't done a honest to goodness shave with it yet. I'm letting my face heal a bit from a rather disastrous encounter with a bad, albeit pricey razor.
Hopefully tonight or at the latest tomorrow I'll give this soap a good amount of shaves and see how she does.
I also recently ordered some Stirling tallow based shave soap so it will be interesting to compare a Petal Pusher Fancies pure vegan soap with the strong tallow based soap from Stirling.
