25% Sharper?!?!
Is it true? They get good reviews on Amazon and the price is right. I wonder if all the hub-bub over the med preps and lab blues enticed Personna to spiff up their standard blades as well. Anyway, I haven't seen the new "25% sharper" claims anywhere but on the bulk packs.

Who has tried these and can compare them to the "old" US made Personnas?

I've used the ones from the top link, it's a good blade, found them at Sally's beauty supply in a five pack

The first link are Labs, second are Barbers as others noted. The Labs are one of my favorite blades, and that price is close to the 12.99 I have been getting them for on eBay.

the Labs are a good blade, i bought 100 of the, the first 100 blade purchase I made, and I've used precisely 2 of them  But I'll whittle down on my supply of them, definitely a good shaving blade

I have taken to calling the top ones Personna Blue because of the blue wrapper and box. I use one for the first time last night and was very impressed with the sharpness and smoothness. Being only slightly less sharp then the Feather, it more than made up for any short comings with the smooth glide it had over the Feather. I will finish up with the other I got PIFd to me on the next rotation and if they hold their consistency, I will be buying a box of 100 for my permanent rotation.

Pretty much sums up my findings. I prefer sharp blades, and these seem nearly as sharp as Feathers. I prefer the lab blues though. Plus, nice box, only one wrapper and NO grease/wax. Just about the perfect blade IMHO.
I get 'em for .13/ea,http://www.ebay.com/itm/180758469680?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 and they easily last a full week. I sold off my Feathers and Super Iridiums, they're THAT Good!

Sharper than what? A shovel blade?

25% sharper than my pocket knife, to be precise.

I actually just got in a box of these off the bay and plan on trying one tonight. I have yet to find a blade I like better than a Feather, but from what I've heard about these... I have high hopes! I certainly like their price point!

I just tried one of these blades last night from a sampler pack I got. It roughed me up pretty bad so I don't think these will work for me.

good luck getting an answer OP, I asked months back and got the responses that you see here.... seems nobody has used both "old" blues and "new 25% sharper" blues and cares to comment on their experience ;)

I've found that when I switch to the Personna Supers from another brand, I go through a little bit of an adjustment because the Personnas are sharp enough that I *really* need to pay more attention to technique. Other brands that aren't as sharp are more forgiving of pressure.

Might want to try them in a less aggressive razor. I find my Edwin Jagger DE87 works perfect!
