I bid on these blades at about $2.00. To my surprise, I just checked and these 10 blades went for:

$39.00!!!!

For those who haven't tried them, they are real sharp, and last a long, long time (I get an average of 25 shaves, and have pushed one to 43 shaves).

But $3.90 a blade??? Honestly, I'd be happier with $39.00 worth of fresh Feathers.

Wow. If they were ony still in production...I'd buy 100 and be set for life.

I wouldn't be surprised if Iridiums start skyrocketing on eBay soon.

Not as a long lasting, but I really like the way Feathers shave.

With that said, I think I'll bring my 43 shave P74 out of retirement.

That's still cheaper than a replacement blade for a Fusion ProGlide, but not by much.

I have 8 P74's left. I bought a pack of 10 off the BST a few months ago. I gave away two and have to try one myself. I use a slant most of the time and I wonder how long they would last and perform in one.

It's true.

I ran the math once. If I use prep Personnas or something similar at about 30 cents a blade, I can run off about $300 on other stuff before I'd spend as much as I would be on Mach 3s.

The older pieces are art, as well- the Ever-Ready 1912 I shaved with last night is a simple but functional work of art.

That's utter craziness!! There is no way any DE blade is worth over $4 a piece!!

Agree!! I paid about 30 cents a piece for mine. $4.00 a blade ridiculous. In fact it's almost as crazy and overpriced as..... $1.50 a puck Williams.

There's some other shaving gear I've got my eye on, and at $43.50 per blade dispenser, I can see the path brothers and sisters...

If someone is willing to pay a certain amount, it is worth it to them.
