Permethrin on the cheap?

Hike a lot, been noticing that the ticks are really looking like they’re going to be out in force this year. Sawyer 18 ounce spray bottle is $10. How come I can bath a dog in the Martin’s stuff that cost $25 and potentially dilute to the same concentration to about 640 ounces worth but the website explicitly says not to use it on clothing?

I have been using the Martin's 10% for years. Water it down to a 0.1% solution and soak or spray my clothes.
No issues at all.
