i find almost any blade is smooth in my EJ i tried the PS in a merkur 38c and wasnt over impreseed vs other blades. i think the sight in turkey is bestshave, they do a nice sample packs and some great blades - the one that worked better for me cost less then half the price of the PS . but that doesnt mean that'll be the case for you with the same blade. bestshave has been good for me i recommend try lots of blades. i found that i got a better shave then i ever dreamed of real cheap! like $8 for more then a years supply.has any one used perma sharp de blades in a edwin jagger de 89 razor
i have read a few articles on the net and they seem to be highly rated. apparently they are available from a site in Turkey and offer a sharp but really smooth shave.
Just be aware there are 2 versions of the Permasharp blades. The one you want to try is the Russian made version.

I have used that exact combination. The Perma Sharp blades work fine for me, but I'd place them behind SuperMax SP's and Gillette Blacks or Blues. But YMMV as they say.
The made in turkey aren't produced anymore, not for a good 10 years.
good point
in tihe early Russian production the word " yeni" appears does anyone know what a jeni is?
i am sorry but i just did find these to be sharp enough to get the beard of in less the 100 passes.
