Perfection achieved

Into my 3rd week using the DE and the breakthrough has well and truly been achieved, having read through alot of the threads on here I've taken all the advice and tonight I got a BBS shave from start to finish, used the Parker 97r, Tabac soap, Alum and Tabac aftershave balm, I did use hot water although had tried cold on an earlier shave this week which wasn't too bad but it wasn't as close as I'd have liked

However earlier tonight the results were outstanding, I took my time and just let the razor do the work and I was astonished with the results, no burn, no irritation, no nicks and a complete smooth finish.

Thanks for all your tips and hints guys, I am loving this now, can't wait to get trying some new products and hopefully branch out and try a few different razors and stuff.

I was going to post someone similar after ten straight phenomenal shaves earlier in the month...yeah. Then I went on vacation and brought a trave razor I had never used before, got stuck shaving in a hotel where I was about 2.5 feet from the mirror and did so in a place that did not supply anything but paper cups so I tried hand lathering. Zoiks. Threw me completely off of my game. After 4 days of that nonsense I find I now struggle for the same consistency I had prior to my vacation.

Im sure its all in my head...but now I feel like I'm shaving in Spanish. (I almost get it.)

Anyway....enjoy....and so glad you got such great results so early. Just make sure to continue to focus on the basics and don't get frustrated if you don't repeat that every day.

Congratulations. Do expect some ups and downs. They are necessary as good justifications for additions to your shave den.
