Penhaligon's Extract of Limes

I got a sample directly from Penhaligon's.

Yum Yum Yum!!! So far it has been ten minutes of bliss. :001_wub:

I'm guessing I've got about 5 minutes of wonderful limeness until it's gone forever. I am starting to feel sad already, and I know that you out there in B&B land (and Basenoters too) are the only ones who can truly understand my upcoming despair.

Great stuff, and it smells wonderful, but I guess no lime has staying power. That is such a shame. :crying:

I've had a bottle of Limes for years. I use it from time to time, but my wife finds it smells like a citrus house cleaner......I get a bit of that too, but I still spritz it on from time to time. I wasn't sure if Pen's was still making Limes.

It has moderate staying power for me,

Best,

Chris

I just got this one in. Love it. I think it last considerably more than other limes. Great stuff!

I have a sample of this as well, and after a few minutes of lime, I mainly get neroli which last a good amount of time.

Great stuff while it lasts, which isn't that long.

I usually apply some to my chest. I've found that if I put my shirt on while it's still wet, some scent gets trapped in the fabric. It sticks around much longer that way. Comes in handy w/short-lived frags like this one, or Creed's Bois de Cedrat. :thumbup1:

Some good lime notes up top very similar to Truefitt & Hill's Limes, but far too much green "lime" freeze pop, and not enough bitter natural Lime Oil (so wonderfully used by trumper) to balance it. And when the Penhaligon's dries down, it has some strange Nyquil-type notes, and too much ointment - piney/medicinal type ointment.....Truefitt & Hill and Trumper are both noticably better imo. But Pens is 3rd easily and worlds better than my 4th ranked Tom Ford Azure Lime.

Good to know. I'll have to give those a try. I really, really, really love the Pen's Lime.

BTW, the Trumper and T&H are both probably much cheaper too.

I was in a Penhaligon's store in London recently and had the opportunity to try a few of their scents that I wasn't previously familiar with. Extract of Limes was great but even the young sales girl admitted that it was a short-lived blast.
