How does the shaving soap scent differ from the fragrance? I haven't tried the shaving soap yet.

I find the cologne and shave soap to be pretty spot on each other.
an interesting story i recently learned!
English luxury bath soap- and fragrance-maker, Bronnley, had an English Fern cologne about same time or perhaps before Penhaligon's.
The two ended up in court and, in mediation, simply agreed to let each other use the mark.
Bronnley was also custom-making shave soaps for most of the Brit shave brands at the time.
Learned this from retired manager of Bronnley.

Wild Fern is still available as well. I haven’t compared with English Fern, but I like Wild Fern a lot—it’s a soapy fougere scent.
Hi, Tim, don't see Bronnley EF on Amazon, but it's on eBay, perhaps through Pasteurs (?).
