Penhaligon's Endymion is Pure Heaven for my Nose and my Skin

Folks. In my short DE shaving career (about 1 month) I have achieved my first Nirvana. First, it was a Crystal Blade (I know, it's weak sauce, but works for me) on my Merkur HD. Then it was DR Harris Arlington Hard Soap. Finally, it was the ultimate: Penhaligon's Endymion After Shave Balm.

For me, it's a complete "10 out of 10". My wife rates it a "9.8" because she's not ready to give a 10 to anything yet. I'll take it.

It has an almost vanilla/citrus scent (my nose is untrained, YMMV) that settles into a richer, spicier powdery scent that is both masculine with a hint of prettiness if you know what I mean.

It leaves my skin feeling perfect and my mood elevated. The only unfortunate thing is that I love DR Harris Arlington Aftershave Milk nearly as much.

Crystals work consistently best for me as well and Endymion is great. The fact your wife likes it as well is having your cake and eating it too!

Never tried the aftershave, but the Endymion cologne just doesn't last on my skin.

Reading reviews, many people seem to find that the cologne lacks longevity.

It's a sad thing since it is so expensive. And because SWMBO really likes when I wear it.

Just for me, it lasts hours, but I don't want it to last much longer than that. I work in close proximity to people and don't relish the thought, for me, of an undying and powerful scent as delicious as it may be. . For me it's about instant gratification and a few hours of enjoyment, for which it certainly is for my body chemistry.

My wife and I went to dinner, some dancing, and came home and it was still detectable by her, so I'm happy. The only thing that smells better are chocolate chip cookies! LOL

Endymion is a great scent. Another modern classic by Penhaligon's IMO. I have the shave cream and aftershave balm.... and the cologne is on my to get list.

The opening does fade quite quickly, but the dry-down fragrance lasts a reasonable few hours for me - and it stays close to the skin, which is definitely what I want in some circumstances.

One of my favorites...I find it to be just heavenly. I do wish it lasted a bit longer, but it does stay with me at least through the morning. Pretty much faded by mid to late afternoon.

Actually, I had two sprays of Endymion about 7 hours ago, and I'm still getting hints of it close to the skin.

endymion a bit sweet ... but crazy good. I enjoy everything Penhaligons. The Artemesia for women is especially nice for her ... mine loved it and I love it on her ... something to consider on the next order.

must admit to have only limited use of the full range, maybe in a year or two can give a better ranking!


so far, really like racquets...lasts long and smells great...


..and of course, BB, classic citrus AS to go with the cream...

Ohh, thanks for the pointers everyone on the Penhaligon products! I'm going to seriously look at Artemesia for my wife too.

Also, think I'm going to try out Racquet the next time I go over to Merz's.

HOLY MAMA!!! I just slathered Endymion over my face after a shave. There is NO WAY there can be a better experience. If there is, (after a GFT sandalwood shaving cream and Muehl R89 shave) I think I may just explode!!!!!!

I wore the cologne today. Very nice smell, but could barely detect other than skin scent. Nothing wrong with a skin scent btw. How many sprays is this one good for?
I like the powdery aspect but the back of my sinuses seem to have a problem with it. But the smell is good.
