I know there has been discussion on how bad the new tallow free formulation of BB is. I've complained myself, and actually sent back a puck to them that was purchased in a London shop earlier this year. After several months, they sent me a free replacment complete with bowl. I've just tried the new puck this morning, lot no. 31409, and to my surprise the lather and shave were excellent - no joke.

I don't know if there's been some behind the scene tweaking of the product since it was initially released and the complaint began rolling in.

Anyone else have similr experiences?

No idea about the original lot. Was too upset to take note to be honest lol.

I still have the box from the one that I purchased and sent on the PIF chain. It was and still is a dreadfully poor shaving soap. Where would I find the lot number?

See the bottom of the box, there should be a number printed in black. I will have a photo in the morning showing the lot number and ingredient listing.

it sucks they binned the tallow first recepie, but at least they went to tallow 3rd and kept it good, and have now made their veg one good.

Mine has 25809 on the bottom. I wonder how others have faired with the different lot numbers.

This is it. The lot number "31409" got cut off the photo, sorry, but it is there. It was also on the sticker that was securing the cellophane wrap around the soap puck.

Maybe it's all in my head? My 1st experiencer with BB new reformulation was in London in May. Keep in mind London has very hard water. That's the puck I returned to them. My 2nd shot at this was with their replacement and in Montreal which has mych softer water.
