Pen Repairs

I just have to give a shout-out to Danny Fudge of The Write Pen. So far, he's repaired four of my vintage pens and has done an outstanding job. He's fast and his prices are cheap! For me, he's restored a couple of Parker Vacumatics, a Waterman Taperite Crusader (a particularly difficult lever filler), and a Sheaffer Touchdown. Each was done in 2-3 weeks and the work is perfect. If you're considering having an old pen repaired professionally, Danny is the man!

Thank you! I have been looking for someone to restore a 51 and a vacumatic! I wonder if he'll accept them from Australia

I don't see why not...he accepts payment via Paypal so there should be no problem there. Drop him a note and double-check.

Thanks Larry, always nice to hear great experiences, have bookmarked Danny's page for reference.

@ Lex, that was good timing.

Just checked out the web site and was linked to a home page with no follow-on links, email contact info, etc...

Am I missing something?

I pretty much do all my own repairs. Once though, I had a pen that was quite valuable to me and I could not get the section out. I soaked it, heated it, heat cycled, soaked again, dreamed about it, etc. I really, really did not want to break this barrel and could not afford to ... I had given up! I asked Danny Fudge if he wanted to try. He loosened it for $5 plus postage, what a guy.

I've recommended him for Vac repairs and those folks are very satisfied with his work and turnaround time.

Click the services tab

There was no services tab, or any tabs for that manner on the page. I added services after www/thewritepen.net/ and got to his services page but again no tabs. There was no contact info either on that page. His web site has a glitch.

If someone has his email address, please let him know he has a web site issue to solve.

Here's what I get...

It's an image page. There are no links.

Thanks for posting this! ..that's the gentleman I was trying to recall from an older thread I haven't found again. I have a couple of Vacumatics that will write again soon!

I reinstalled Chrome. Site had no troubles coming up.

The software app used to write Danny's site needs to be adjusted to work with multiple browsers. Sometimes that menu pick / switch is hard to find.
