What's new

Pen ID please?

Got this at the flea market. I liked the color and I didn't hear any loose bits shaking inside, so I bought it ($5).

After a bit, I managed to open it up and found a perfectly pliable sac on it. Got home, filled it up and started writing, a nice medium tip. But I'm not sure what it is.

I'm certain you all can tell me what I got.

Not all good though, the fill lever is rusted and the clip is bent. I don't think I'm going to bother and try to straighten it out as a bent one is better then a broken one.

Nice score! Inox means stainless. Inoxcrom is a Spanish pen company.

Is it a button filler?

No, it's got a sac and it was in good condition. It's the first non-cartridge pen I bought in the wild that I just loaded with ink and started writing with - I got half a bottle of Parker 'Quink' ink from an estate sale after the flea market, that set me back 50 cents.

What does "francaise" mean?

Button fillers have sacs too. What I was getting at is that I don't think it is an Inoxcrom pen. For one thing they are proud of their product and would have the name displayed on the barrel or clip. They have a logo that looks kind of like a Waterman globe, maybe on the lever, at least on the nib. It may just be a French clone of a Streamline Duofold, that was what I first thought.

More pics? Good deal on the ink!

Poor filler lever:

Poor clip:

That's about all the pics I could think to take.

That just goes to show you.... the first pic looked like it had a blind cap

I think that's what they wanted you to think. Wow, that lever -- well, I wasn't expecting that! Kinda crude with the visible seam and I think your derby is a little cocked. :001_unsur

Sorry, no idea Jim. How's it write?

Now half as wise
Looks to me like a home made slot with a lever that doesn't really fit it. Could someone have tried to convert it to a lever filler at some point?
