This morning, I really had the best shave ever. I have been wetshaving for 3 months now, not long compared to many of you, but long enough that I have learned a few things.
This AM, I took my time and didn't get into a rush. I had a Lord Platinum blade in for its third shave. My Slim was cranked to 5, and was ready to go. I used my Haslinger Sandleholz shaving soap that I got froma generous B&B member last month. I whipped up the soap to a nice, thick and creamy lather.
Lately, due to time, I have been doing a quick 2-pass shave. It is good enough, but not a perfect shave. Today, I went 2 passes WTG, and a final pass XTG. As I said, I took my time, moving rather slowly, and received near BBS...without even trying to get it. My face was so slick, the AS glided over, giving me no burn.
A couple of things have sunk in:
1. My technique has greatly improved since August.
2. Taking my time is always the best way to go.
3. Forget about trying to get BBS, just enjoy the shave.
4. Keep the cats out of the bathroom while shaving.
The last point maybe explained at a future time in the Clown House.
