The Urban Dave258 gave me in a PIF is great! My favorite pen I've ever ever used (it converted me from ballpoints and rollerballs.)

I think you'll really really enjoy it, Boro! I look for excuses to write with mine!

I am loving it so far, just scared that this might turn into another AD. for some reason, i remember using a fountain pen ages ago, and it had this horrible scratchy sensation to it that i gave it up. However this fp so far is a dream! now i find myself actually wanting to improve my cursive/handwriting!

I started with fines and didn't like them. I use mediums and italics now.

The local Office Max store closed down last month and they were selling off everything at 60% off. My wife picked up this set for $20. I was quite impressed with the package. The pen is a very nice size, quite comfortable, and the soft matte finish feels good. The medium nib is stiff (as expected) and doesn't provide much line variation. It's currently using one of the included Parker cartridges, writes smoothly, and seems to start up without hesitation after being capped for several days. It's definitely a pen I would recommend to a beginner, or even to someone who's looking for an inexpensive, nice-looking, reliable fountain pen.
