Parker 96R HELP!

A couple of years ago I bought a Parker 96R safety razor in hopes that it would work hopefully just as good as my Schick Quatro while save a bit of money on blades. I tried to look for what the numbers and letters mean on the titles of most safety razors, such as 96R...etc with no luck in finding out what they mean. I only used it once the night I got it in the mail. I went upstairs in hope that I have found a good razor for very sensitive skin, well I was wrong. When I used it I did not press down and took my time, yet it still snagged some of the hairs and my neck which is the most sensitive for me bled so bad that I looked like a victim in a horror movie.

>I tried my Parker again this morning and I still bled but this time only on the adams apple. However I had about 4 days growth which I use to find made it so I could shave with out much irritation way back when I was using my Gillette Sensor Excell.

>So my question is do the numbers pertain to which razor is good and not good for sensitive skin and could I shave with it even with 2 days growth instead. Right now I am shaving with a Schick 5 blade Hydro and it works really well, I did try the Gelette Pro Glide but it leave much to be desired for lubrication and after about a day Razor bumps formed on my neck.

Also how do the Parker brand razors fair with other such brands? The Parker I have has the butterfly top so you can just drop a new blade in which is the feature I like best.

The numbers are just model branding/classification they dont mean anything in terms of function or aggressive level grading. The Parkers to me are a cheaper brand of razor compared to 100 year old Gillette brands.
