panna crema issues

I have Rooney 1 large and no matter how much I try and load the brush - it only picks up enough product for two shaves. Now don't get me wrong - I can go for the third one but it is never as good as the first two.
On the other hand, same brush with MDC, ADP, XXX, GFT Violet. T&H Grafton and Trafalgar - works flawlessly.

Could it be that the cream just does not have enough room to develop nice foam and as a result more product leads to more density but essentially the same volume ?

It probably needs more water than what your normally use to with the other soaps. I have never used Panna Crema so I do not know if it is a so called thirsty soap. Keep dipping the tip of your brush into the water and then go back and build your lather. Try building the lather on your face instead of using a shave bowl. Might sound odd, but with some soaps I have better results face lathering than I do using a shave bowl. I could not tell you the reason why!

With the exception of MdC which lathers very easily with a small amount of soap, everything else you mentioned is softer than PC. Perhaps you could benefit from a longer load time and more water. Just made this a few days ago, perhaps it will help you out.

I have used Panna Crema every day for the past week or so....one of the easiest soaps out there to lather. It isn't the soap.

To which I add words of wisdom from Marco. B&B Steward:
*** The main concept to always keep in mind is simple: a lot of water + a lot of swirls + a lot of soap = a lot of great, thick, slick and effective lather. ***

Yeah!
