Panama: Warped barber hone fix?

Just got this awesome little panama hone to test from a great friend along with a dubl duck satinWedge to hone. The hone seems to be bowed, not from wearing but a definite bow as seen in the pics. Is there any way to flatten these things or is it just a matter of lapping the F out of it until it's flat?

The mottled side is incredibly smooth, I've never felt a barber hone like it!

Its actually mostly from wear. Since it will be the very last stone in your progression the concave side will hurt nothing. It might even help. Think of it as adding a piece of tape when using that side. As for the other side just lap it flat. It must be used before the concave side though.

You will thin it out quite a bit but you can lap sides if you have the time.

I honestly don't think that it's from wear. It's hard to see in the picture but the plain taupe side is a uniform thickness across the entire hone.

The mottled side is a petrified wood I am not sure of the species. You can try to soak the stone and then press it flat but I think you are more likely to break it.

So the petrified wood is the finishing side?
I don't think there's any point in using the other side of the hone, i'll just dial it up to an escher edge then finish it on that?
