I’m not really a barber hone guy. Willing to give some a try I see people recommending like in Slices thread.
So got a Panama hone I saw. It did not look like petrified wood variety I have seen but bought anyway. Cleaning it up I see more of a pattern which I can’t tell if it is just breaking down or what.
This does not look like the hickory or petrified version does it? I see more color variation and pattern in my pics than real life in my hand. And for those that have them, is it truly petrified wood or is that just a description based on appearance? Thanks in advance.
