Panama Hat Maintenance Question

I have a pretty nice straw fedora-style panama hat, with the brim snaped down in front and turned up in the back. The back part of the brim appears to have curled up even more, and I'd like to flatten it out a bit. Is that something I can/should do myself, and, if so, how? Can I put the hat in a steamed-up bathroom for a few minutes and manipulate the brim afterwards?

Thanks.

You can do it yourself. Use the steam jet from your wife's iron, or hold it over the steam jet from the teakettle. Hold it in shape until it cools.
