Palmolive shave stick

Read the label? Check first ingredient, sounds a lot like you're using the palm oil version.

I read the label and it's definitely a tallow version. I tried it again yesterday and although I got a reasonably usable lather from it, it irritated my skin. I had the same problem when I used the Erasmic before but I wasn't able to isolate the cause until now.

I'm going to stick with the Palmolive as my main soap.

I can't get a usable lather out of the Erasmic tallow stick to save my life. I went to the Thames Water website to find out the hardness of the water in my area and it's not all that hard. All I get is a very thin, watery lather no matter how much of the soap I use.

I know the OP was about Palmolive but I couldn't get my Erasmic stick to do much either. So....this morning I milled i into a bowl. It was hard as a rock and dry. I couldn't get it to pack in the bowl without water. I'm assuming it was old and dry so the lather was crap. Anyway here's a few pics. I'll give it a try later.
