Sweet blades for sure . How do they shave ?

Thanks to all for the replies! IMO, Tim Zowada and Bill Ellis are two of the most talented people alive today!

Jim,

They both shave with absolute perfection. They were both just slightly harsh right out of the box, but 100 laps on cotton followed by 75 on Latigo and 50 on Horsehide per Tim's recommendation and they were perfect. Basically they just needed to be broken in slightly.

I also needed to use a slightly shallower angle (also per Tim's recommendation) versus the Ellis I am used to using. Maybe this is due to Tim's double bevel hone??

I love using them just as much as I enjoy just looking at them. The workmanship is flawless and the designs elegant in their perfection and simplicity.

The mammoth ivory was Tim's recommendation and I'm glad I followed his lead. My pic's don't do that material justice. The Ebony piece is a razor I have lusted after ever since seeing professorchaos's B&B LE Zowada. the simple, dark wood plays perfectly against Tim's Damascus blade.

Beautiful stuff. I've been saving up to buy one exceptional razor, and either of these would fit the bill. I like the simple, understated designs. Flashy razors just don't do it for me. (Especially the ones that look like Klingon weapons.)

WOW, hardly do I ever see razors that are such a nice mix of classic and contemporary looks, I think I like the ebony one better though something about it looking so smooth.
