paint/enamel used for engraved writing on aluminium brushes

Hi - I have an aluminum brush that has and engraved marking on it. I want to fill in the marking with some paint/enamel to make the text stand out more and was wondering what everyone uses and how to apply it? Any special cleaning needs first for example?

Various threads and youtube videos have suggested Testors is the go to paint. Some have said semi-gloss and others flat black. Available at any Hobby store.
