Pace blades

I found Pace blades at a nearby Roses Dept Store.I picked them up for a buck and noted they were made in Korea.I later visited the Dorco website and saw that this is now their u.s. brand name. This filled me with trepidation as one of the worst DE blades I have tried was a Dorco.

This a.m. I decided to give them a try.My worries were fulfilled. These stainless blades are the equivalent of a 3 use Treet carbon, nowhere near as good as a Gem/pella stainless. They tugged at every hair,I aborted my SE shave after 1 and a half passes and finished with a DE fatboy.

Sorry to hear of your loss of a dollar.
My condolences.

Good to stow for future info - you may have saved others from losing theirs :001_smile

I actually braved it again this afternoon.I did several face washes and massages with warm water, lathered up with an old rubberset brush and Classic Brand Coconut/Bumpstopper Tea Tree gel. I did 2 passes and a touchup, reapplying lather between passes. At one point I changed the angle somewhat and the shave got smoother. But it was just a tease, when I finished my half a days growth had been reduced by only half.

I think these will be relegated to hobby and automotive work. The only good thing about this purchase is that the store price was cheaper than the price on dorco's site.So i did not lose as much money.
