Overview of Bestshave.net stuff

Since the pictures on the website are so bad, I thought that I'd give a pictoral overview of some of Bestshave.net products that I've tried out on the cheap. I tried their small $2.45 # 6 brush, on the left of my lineup of brushes, and their large $8.50 #1 brush on the right of the lineup. I also have their $5.60 copper shaving cup and $3.50 acacia shaving cup. Pictured for size reference is the VDH badger and the Omega Professional boar, along with Cella and an old Gillete New razor. I have no idea if the two brushes are boar or horse, but they seem like boar. They are both softer than the Omega boar, though. The large #1 with the red handle has become my favorite of my small collection of cheapo brushes. It is very soft, with a nice backbone and holds a lot of lather. The small #6 brush is not great, but I like it better than the VDH badger, and a little less than the Omega boar. It's nice and soft, but not dense enough for me. Even so, it's so cheap. You can package it up with an acacia bowl packed with half a stick of $1.95 Arko for a nice starter gift. The red on the handle of the large brush matches the red Cella tub perfectly. Shipping took 2 weeks.

You probably can't see it, but the copper bowl is just a copper plate on a silver bowl. The plating is very thin and uneven. I ordered two bowls, and one was perfectly plated, while the other had some blotches. The four wood bowls I bought are perfect. Hope this helps.

I am a big fan of bestshave.net. I am buying something there almost every month. Always good service.

Already tried this copper bowl and #6 (probably boar) brush.

Their prices in blades as well as free worldwide shipping above US$ 50 spent are hard to beat.
