Out-standing? =)

Hey guys, will this stand fit an EJ BBB (medium or large- havent decided yet) in the same way that the tweezerman brush is hanging in the picture?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

If anybody has any input, it would help. I dont have the brush yet so I cant measure the diameter of the slim section on the bottom. My EJ DE89L should fit right into the other side without problems.

Thanks =)

I just gave my tweezerman away to a buddy, so I can't compare directly. I have a medium EJ BBB and can make these comparisons:
The knot and thin part of the handle are pretty close in size. The knot of the tweezerman is smaller than the knot of the EJ BBB. Based on the pic, the tweezerman handle is thicker than its knot.
Based on these highly scientific measurements and calculations, I would *guess* that the medium EJ BBB would indeed fit in the stand. The stand it comes in holds it at the base of the knot, not the handle, so you have some flexibility there if the handle is just a bit too big.

My recommendation would be to.....pick a stand based on the brush that you choose. Pick up a brush that fits your specifications, measure the handle and then purchase your stand. Good luck.

The brush will fit the stand by its bristles only. I own the same stand and the EJ brush. The stand won't hold it by the handle like the pictures show. I would guess it would take a very small handle to fit this stand. Looks wise, It's nicer if it fit the stand by the bottom of the brush, but in terms of how well well the stand works I can't complain. By having the handle above the arm of the stand it still holds it nicely and the brush dries fine. I can take a picture of mine to show you if you'd like.

Bought my stand from westcoastshaving.com because it was cheaper but it looks like amazon.com lowered their price. It's a good stand. However, when i get the money I'm probably going to upgrade to theartofshaving.com luxury stand which is quite more expensive but a nicer variation on the design and a bigger opening for the brush holding arm.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Exactly what I was trying to find out, and some nice pics to boot. I'll probably end up getting a separate stand for the brush, it seems kind of out of place being held by the knot on an already tall stand.

No problem. I had the same issue when I bought this stand, but i got it anyway hoping for best.

I even tried seeing if my VDH boar brush would hang in it but no luck. Still, I am happy it does its job despite the aesthetics of it with the brush.

by the way, the EJ brush is GREAT! Stiffer then super badger but softer then boars. I think this is how i like brush's hairs to be.

Is that the EJ BBB? Is the brush medium or large? I'm trying to decide between the two. I'm also coming from a VDH Boar...I assume you see a big difference between them, right?

You've been really helpful, really appreciate it.

It's a EJ pure Badger. It's definitely not the large. It's either a medium or small. I bought the brush off amazon.com. here's its link: http://www.amazon.com/Edwin-Jagger-...=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1271660319&sr=1-21

Hopefully that helps. I watched a EJ video on youtube on how they are made. I think Edwin Jagger is quality no matter what. You can pay more for different quality hair but that's always going to come down to preference. Like boars hair is always cheaper then badger but price aside, some prefer the stiffness. I have no problem with stiff hairs if it lathers well. And actually this brush is rather soft. If it wasn't for the handle i would swear its a notch below silvertipped.

It just occurred to me that the handle shape is different. The BBB might actually fit...back to the unknown territory haha

It would be great if you could measure the greatest diameter that would fit into the brush side. Then I could ask somebody with the EJ BBB to measure the diameter at the thin part of the base and....problem solved =)
