What's new

Our little brush project ... How are we doing?

Promised to keep you posted on this project of ours.
So, back by popular demand: our first attempt at making our own shaving brushes. All handmade from scratch.

Starting from a nice piece of mahogany, this is our first brush selected for finalizing.
Inspired more or less by a recent Muhle brush.

Here it is:

And here with one of the knots we bought from TGN.

Inspired by the Semogue 1305, we made this second one:

Which looks with a knot like:

The third one is our attempt at a really classic, traditional shape:

We also made a chubby style piece and an 'extended chubby' with a bit longer handle:

.. the short one:

They are now all in the process of lacquering and further processing.

Will keep you posted.

Love that "extended" chubby

Bob

If no one in the family here puts a claim on it, we might PIF it to you :001_smile

The small chubby has my name written all over it, and the Muhle inspired one is the favorite of my brother in law.
So these are gone for sure!

We'll just see what happens after they are finished.
Hope they come out as great as we expect them to be.

We only have two knots available at the moment, so yes it is the same knots over and over again.

But I sure do like the oak wood!
