"Can't Raise an Eyebrow"
Week 10's scores and the Session 3 Roll-Up
I suggest we all shoot this week and write down our scores. I'll start Session 4 on the 20th. This will give all of us an extra score to use when we have less than an acceptable shooting week, or have a week we just can't get to the range.

Plus, @OkieStubble needs time to acquire that Ruger Mk IV.......

I'm willing to wait another week. That would mean I'd post the first week's shooting scores on November 27th. Opinions please...

I wouldn’t hold the group up on account of me. The Buckmark has to go back and then Send it back to me and then I would have to take it to the range and test it all over again. That could take a few weeks to all come about and that’s if everything works out.

If it’s not fixed, even longer then, before I’m back in the group. Please don’t let me hold up everyone else.

Sorry to hear about your Browning and FedEx issues Rob. Most folks I checked with had no issues with their Buckmarks. One who did said it was only with certain ammo but a drop of oil on the first round and it worked fine. Good luck.

I’m ok waiting. I’ll have a delay with the end of archery season and the gun opener plus the procrastinated work on my duckboat...

Waiting until after Thanksgiving might be a good idea, but I'm flexible. Don't know if any of us are deer hunters, I know the range is very busy this time of year with hunters doing last minute sight in/ verification of their deer rifles. Don't know if that has any bearing on those of us who shoot at outdoor ranges.

I used to keep quite a bit of deer, hog, dove & quail in my deep freezer during my younger years, but less and less as I grew older and busier with job and family. my boys never had the patience for sitting still in a stand or a blind if there wasn't a game controller attached to an Xbox console and television somewhere; and the women of the family won't eat game meat. I've taken the boys and done lots of varmint hunting when they were teens, but haven't done any hunting for something edible in almost 10 years?

Yeah, when I dropped off the Buckmark, at the Academy, the manager was surprised also. Even when the gun was jamming, I would lubricate it and it didn't help. I was literally having to get a small tipped screwdriver and pry the empty shell out of the chamber. because it was too tight to remove with just my fingernail tips.

The tolerances between the empty case and dirty chamber were just too tight for the extractor to pull it out. I sent the Buckmark back to Browning dirty, so they won't have to shoot it 100 rounds to see the problem. I'm hoping they will ream the chamber which should fix the trouble. But my fear is, they will clean it, just as I have done multiple times, but instead of shooting it enough to see it foul and misfunction, they will only shoot it a few rounds and see it work reliably, just as I have already done and then send it back, just for me to find it sticking again after only 100 rounds.

If they do this, I could just have it reamed myself and pay for it, but that's not the point right? I shouldn't have to pay to do that with a brand new Browning that's been only good for a 100 rounds since I got it. I had trouble with a Springfield 1911 and trouble with a Ruger LCP Max. But those guys, didn't have to shoot those pistols first a 100 rounds to see those pistols ugly sides. I'm hoping Browning will not just clean it, shoot it 10 rounds and then send it back. Academy sent it back, but their return forms doesn't list in detail whats wrong with the gun, it only has blocks that you check by a short reason like, "failure to feed" or "failure to extract" and then you check the right box. I put a detailed small sticky note inside the box. Hopefully the Techs see it and fix it accordingly.

Are we ready to start up again? I'm good for this week or whatever week we want to get going again.

I vote for next week, but if the majority wants to start this week, that's OK to. I have not done any bullseye shooting during our hiatus, but I'll be ready to start back up whenever.

I wanna be sedated!
I shot really well yesterday. I may use that score when we start back up. I am good either way. We can wait until next week if that suits everyone better.

My pistol was sent back to Browning by the Academy Sports where I purchased it at least two weeks ago before the holiday. Haven’t heard anything back yet.

I’m thinking Browning CS may not possibly be as friendly, fast and efficient as some of the other gun manufacturers I have experienced?

We will see.

How's this sound to everyone? Let's continue "resting" across this week. I'll post the 4th, 10-Week Bullseye Session on Monday, December 5th. That means I'd post the first set of scores on Sunday, December 11th.

Does this sound like a plan?

Give them a call... I've had good support from them...

I plan on going by the Academy Sports first and inquire with them. Far as I know, it could already be back in their back room collecting dust on a shelf and the high school aged manager failed to call. Then I will give Browning a call.

I wonder if Academy is having any sales on Ruger Mk IVs?
Step ahead of ya my brother. They actually were a bit more then when I purchased the Browning. I’ll probaby pick one up on a before or just after Christmas sale. I think the MK4 will be easier to keep clean then the Buckmark.

It's far easier to clean. I'm not happy with the grips but my either of my paws can grip a b-ball.
