What's new

Ouch!

So there I was monday morning, granted I was a little worse for wear however I lathered up and it was time to try another new blade from my obligatory newbie sample packs.

I put in an Iridium Super and bled profusely, the shave was diabolical and I cut myself no less than 5 times including 1 cut which is lkely to leave a small scar for some time.

In one shave I have gone from being a poster boy for de shaving with a smooth face and no irritation :001_smile to being some sort of a monster with red spots and scarring on my face :cursing:

Needless to say whether the fault was lack of concentration, a hangover or a poor blade; being the type who needs to find blame I will be ditching Iridium supers from my usage and am contemplating ditching the use of any of the stainless steel variety.

The blade doesn't slice your face, nor the razor.

Sure, bad blades do exist, but most of the time blood is solely induced by the person holding the razor.
If a brand tugs, ditch it and don't look back, but don't reject a brand just because it sliced your face up.

My first experience with the Iridium Super included a serious cut on the lip line. That was after a successful series of shaves with the Yellow 7 O'Clock, nearly the same blade. It was my fault, and the rest of the shaves went fine.
